Because our main objective is to help our artists to succeed.
We understand that art should become purely commercial. Nor is it that artists care too little about business. Often, it is that they are never taught how business affects their freedom and career. Without basic commercial knowledge, an artist can lose money, lose control of their work, damage relationships or become dependent on people who do understand the system and work it to their advantage.
Yes we want to help anyone who wants to improve their artistic skills but there are lots of clubs out there that do that but few combine the two skills of business acumen and artistic development together. We are lucky from our previous business careers to have contacts with Patent Lawyers, Company Directors and Accountants all of whome are willing to give their time and advice for free and all have passion for the arts.
The artworld is no longer dominated by the London Galleries and Auction Houses as more and more artists find their own ways to promote and sell their art but that also brings with it a big gap in business experience. Thats why we put the. two clubs together.

That’s not an easy question to give a simple answer to. It really depends on business risk and scale. Limited Companies do exactly what is says the limit the liabilities of the directors but require a director to conduct themselves properly and run their business correctly.
Self employed people carry all the responsibilities and liabilities of their business. including its failures but they can also enjoy more of the benefits of success.
